Hair loss - Alopecia Treatment in Doncaster
What is Alopecia?
Alopecia is a condition that causes hair to fall out in small patches. Usually, it only affects a small area, but these patches can get larger and grow together to form a bald spot. It can happen at any age but most people tend to develop it during childhood or as a teenager.

What causes alopecia?
Alopecia is classed as an 'autoimmune disease' - which means your immune system attacks your body and, in this case, your hair follicles, causing them to fall out. It's still not known what causes the body to do this though.

Where does alopecia often occur in the body?
Alopecia tends to occur on your scalp but could also affect your eyebrows, eyelashes, and face, as well as other parts of your body. It can also develop slowly and recur after years between instances.
